What Is Yama in Blox Fruits?

Yama is one of the two legendary swords that must be acquired by the player to trigger the Cursed Dual Katana puzzle and become the owner of the mythical Cursed Dual Katana.

It is widely believed that Yama is possessed by a demon.

The other legendary sword needed for the Cursed Dual Katana puzzle is the Tushita, and here is a guide that you can use on how to get Tushita in Blox Fruits.

Although most players tend to set their eyes on the Cursed Dual Katana, wielding Yama alone is enough to excel in combat, be it PVE or PVP.

Yama sword has relatively low damage compared to Tushita, but it can pose a threat to anyone with its fast-hitting moves with short cooldowns.

GameGrinds Trivia: Yama is also the name of a Hindu deity associated with death, as well as the ruler of the underworld. In Japanese mythology, Yama’s counterpart is Enma, which is the namesake of one of Zoro’s prized swords in One Piece.

How to Get Yama in Blox Fruits

To get Yama in Blox Fruits, you need to do any of the two requirements: complete the Elite Hunter quest or the Player Hunter quest 30 times.

You can settle to clear either of these two quests 20 times, but going 30 provides a 100% chance of obtaining Yama.

Alternatively, you can also complete and repeat both quests in a mixed manner. For example, you can clear 15 Elite Pirate and 15 Player Hunter quests for a total of 30 completed quests and you can still get Yama.

Quest 1: Complete the Elite Hunter Quest 20-30 Times

Complete the Elite Hunter Quest

Travel to the Castle on the Sea (found in the middle of the Third Sea) and find the NPC named Elite Hunter.

Talk with this cute kitten and he’ll tell you that there is news about a certain Elite Pirate roaming around.

Elite Hunter will mention the specific name of the pirate, and he will also pinpoint the pirate’s location. Your goal for the quest is simple: beat him, and you are one step ahead on how to get Yama in Blox Fruits.

You can find the Elite Pirates in any of the following places:

  • Port Town
  • Hydra Island
  • Floating Turtle
  • Great Tree

The NPC will literally spoon-feed you with enough information about one of Elite Pirates’ whereabouts, so listen (or read) carefully on his dialogue.

Be quick on clearing the quest if you’re in a public server since other players might also be hunting the same Elite Pirate.

An Elite Pirate spawns every 10 minutes, so if you can’t find your target to its supposed location, it’s probably been killed by someone and you need to wait for the same amount of time before you can retake the quest.

Once you’re done defeating the Elite Pirate, repeat the quest 20-30 times.

Considering the 10-minute spawn time of the Elite Pirates, completing the Elite Hunter Quest 20-30 times will surely take a while. Yama, after all, is a legendary sword, and it only bows to the most patient warriors.

Quest 2: Complete the Player Hunter Quest 20-30 Times

Complete the Player Hunter Quest 20-30 Times

The first method is the easier way how to get Yama in Blox Fruits. The second method, however, is only for those who want to take a real challenge.

To start the Player Hunter Quest, you need to enable PVP mode first. Talk to the NPC Player Hunter in the Castle on the Sea and he’ll ask you to kill a certain player, together with its last location.

Track down the target player, engage him/her in combat, and once you win, you get to complete the Player Hunter Quest.

Wait for 5-10 minutes until you can get the quest again. Rinse and repeat 20-30 times.

In other words, you have to take the lives of 20 or 30 players in the game if you want to proceed with this path.

Ensure that your character is strong enough to dish out great damage to a fellow player and that your mechanical skills are well-honed for PVP.

Where to Find Yama in Roblox Blox Fruits?

Once you’re done with any of the two methods, you may now go to the location of the Yama sword.

You can find Yama inside the Secret Temple, a hidden room at the back of Hydra Island’s waterfall in the Third Sea.

Upon reaching Hydra Island, head straight to the waterfall. On the other side, you will arrive on a path leading to a sealed door.

Break the seal using any type of destructible blox fruit moves like those of the Bomb, Ice, Quake, and Buddha.

Without the seal, you may now enter the door and you’ll encounter ghosts that you need to defeat, and there at the room’s center lies the one you’re looking for – the legendary Yama!

After putting the ghosts back to rest, click on Yama several times and your character will try to pull the sword. A text will appear saying that the “sword doesn’t seem to budge.”

Keep on clicking, and you’ll see another text implying that the sword is cursed. Don’t fret and continue clicking.

This is the most interesting part of your journey. If you completed the Elite Hunter or the Player Hunter quest 20 times, you have a high chance of dying each time you pull the sword.

On the other hand, in case you manage to clear the quests 30 times, you are guaranteed to pull Yama out of the ground.

Regardless of your choice, if you’re still alive, congratulations! You are now a proud Yama owner!

Is Yama Harder to Get Than Tushita?

Yama is quite easier to get compared to Tushita. The Tushita requires a very long series of actions and quests to complete before you can obtain it.

However, all the efforts are worth it since this powerful weapon is potent in deleting enemies.
