Step 1: Find Two Adult Turtles

Scutes can be obtained from Baby Turtles when they turn into adults. So first, you need to find sea turtles. They can be located in Beach Biomes but don’t spawn in Snowy and Stone Beaches. You need at least two mature turtles so that you can start your turtle farms and harvest scutes later.

Remember that turtles will only lay eggs on their home beach. They won’t produce any if you lure them to another location. So your Scute farm/turtle farm has to be on the beach where you found your adult turtles.

Step 2: Breed the Turtles

Once you find two adult turtles, feed the Parents with Seagrass to make them enter love mode and breed and lay eggs. One of the turtles will be slightly bigger and will head back to its home.

You have to follow it, and you’ll know it’s laying its eggs when it looks like it’s digging. Once they do, you can wait for 4-5 game days for the eggs to hatch.
