Full Edit Mode, also known as CAS Full Edit, is a super useful special feature in Sims 4 that allows players to make significant changes to their Sims’ appearances like eye color and even traits after they have already been created in the game.

Using the default Create-a-Sim (CAS) mode, you can initially create your Sims with a certain appearance and set of traits, but Full Edit Mode enables you to make more extensive and personalized modifications.

How to Use Full Edit Mode in Sims 4

Once a Sim has already been created, the modifications you can make to it are quite limited.

You can alter a few of their physical features using a mirror, but you can’t go back to the Create A Sim screen.

Luckily, we have CAS or Full Edit Mode, which allows you to edit a sim entirely no matter how long you’ve been playing with it.

Here’s how you use it.

Windows and Mac

  1. Open the cheat console and input the Edit Mode Cheat: “cas.fulleditmode”, and press Enter.
  2. Close the Cheat Dialogue Box and go to the Sim you want to edit.
  3. Hold the SHIFT button on your keyboard and click on the Sim to select it.
  4. Select the Modify Option in the CAS.

  1. Open the cheat console and input the Edit Mode Cheat: “cas.fulleditmode”, and press Enter.
  2. Close the Cheat Dialogue Box and go to the Sim you want to edit.
  3. For PlayStation, hold the O and X buttons. For Xbox, hold the A and B buttons.
  4. Pick the Sim you want to edit.
