How to Have Twins in Sims 4
Everyone knows that twin pregnancy is a very rare occasion in real life. The same goes for Sims 4.
In fact, unlike the common single births, Sim only has a 10% chance of having twins and a measly 1% odd for triplets.
But don’t worry because those odds can be greatly increased. You can do so using the tips and tricks we will teach you.
So, without further adieu, here is how to have twins in Sims 4:
1. Fertile Reward
If you want to have a twin in the base game, you can use the Fertile Reward. This reward trait significantly bolsters the chance of your Sim having twins or triplets.
Fertile Reward can be purchased in the Rewards Store for 3,000 Satisfaction Points.
Go to the Aspirations Menu, then navigate to the Rewards Store. Look for the Fertile trait.
You can complete Whims to get enough Satisfaction Points for this trait, or you can simply check out our Sims 4 Aspiration Cheats.
2. Get a Fertility Massage
This method can be done by players who have the Spa Day Game Pack.
A Fertility Massage has the same effects as the Fertile Trait, which boosts your Sim’s ability to conceive and have twins or triplets.
Go to the Spa and choose the Get a Massage option once you are on the bed. Then, choose the Get A Fertility Massage option that costs $380.
After that, your Sim will have a new moodlet called Fertility Boost. This moodlet boosts their chances for Twins but only lasts for about 12 in-game hours.
So make sure you let your Sims conceive within that period.
3. On Ley Line Trait
This trait comes with the City Living Expansion Pack. The On Ley Line trait lets the Sims on the lot have a higher chance of conceiving and having twins or triplets.
The good news is you don’t have to move to a new property to try this method.
In Build mode, simply go to Venue Info and press the question mark icon, and the Traits panel should pop up. This is where you can edit the traits for your lot.
Next, choose the On Ley Line trait, and you’re good to go.
Sims 4 Twins Cheats
If you don’t want to go through all the hassle, you can use our Sims 4 Twins Cheats.
Using this cheat, you can control the number of babies that your Sim will conceive. But you’ll need to know the ID of the Sim you want to have twins.
Open the Cheats console by entering the command for your specific platform:
- Windows: Ctrl + Shift + C
- Mac: Cmd + Shift + C
- PlayStation: L1 + R1 + L2 + R2. (Hold all Shoulder Buttons)
- Xbox: LB + RB + LT + RT (Hold all Shoulder Buttons)
To find out a Sim’s ID, enter the following code:
sims.get_sim_id_by_name (sim’s first name) (sim’s last name)
Once you get the Sim’s ID, enter the next code to determine how many babies you want to have:
pregnancy.force_offspring_count (Sim ID) (number of babies you want)
Now, all you have to do is wait for the natural pregnancy time to be over, and your Sim will be guaranteed to have twins.
Stacking the speed-up pregnancy cheat and twins cheat might cause issues within the game.
That’s why we don’t recommend using them together.
Now you know how to have twins in Sims 4. Using the tips and in-game mechanics we mentioned, you will have the best odds possible of getting that double cuteness overload you dream of.
But if you want a 100% chance of twin pregnancy without all those steps, you can use our Sims 4 twins cheat. It’s also 100% safe; the devs even urge you to use them!
